Help my Hometown as we Rebuild

On Saturday, December 11th at around 1:00am, we were woken up to emergency alerts going off on our phones to take shelter as there had been a tornado seen in our area. Victor and I grabbed Nova and our fur baby and we all headed to the hallway with blankets and pillows to take shelter. We sit there for about 3 hours listening and waiting and praying that God would protect us until the storm calmed.
We were so blessed that we had no damage and were safe, but other parts of our city were not as blessed as we were. What we learned was that there were 3 confirmed tornados that touched down. It started at the West part of town as an EF 3 and ended up in the North part of the city as an EF 2. Just a minute away from us, there was a manufacturing plant that was completely leveled. There have been 15 confirmed deaths including some children.
Again, we are so THANKFUL and Blessed, and now I want to use my platform to help as many as I can here in my hometown as we start to rebuild.
If you would like to donate, here is how your donation will be used:
Because we are #BGSTRONG there has been an overwhelming amount of donations such as clothes, toiletries, canned goods, etc that some areas are having to put a pause on receiving such items. What is needed now is monetary donations. The families affected by the tornadoes will be experiencing all kinds of out-of-pocket expenses that insurance will either not cover, or will take a while to cover. I will use these funds to give families in need:
-
Food/Food Delivery Service Gift Cards-Some are staying in hotels and can’t cook.
-
Gas Gift Cards.
-
Retail Gift Cards (Online as well)- For replacing clothes/shoes, favorite blankets/toys.
-
Home Improvement Store Gift Cards.
-
Wal-Mart Gift Cards.
If you would prefer to send any of these items, you may send them to my P.O. Box at:
