Tough love alert! You NEED to stop using your Sundays for Planning and starting your week!! Seriously, enough is enough.
Now before anyone goes and thinks that I am making this about anything religious, I’m not, and that is NOT where I am going with this, so calm down sis! LOL ðŸ˜ðŸ¥°
This always confuses me when I see someone with one of these titles: 🤔
👉🽠Business OWNER
👉🽠Chief EXECUTIVE Officer
👉🽠FOUNDER/Creator
And then I see them:
👉ðŸ½Â Working late nights
👉🽠Working on Saturdays
👉🽠Using Sundays to Plan
Now don’t get me wrong, I know that Building a Business requires a lot of work. Trust me, I’ve been doing this since 2005. But just like a baby, there comes a point when baby gotta grow up and let momma get some rest!
So if you’re just starting out, that is normal. But at some point that’s not normal, it’s a bad habit that YOU the EXECUTE, OWNER, FOUNDER, have created.
And I will be the first to raise my hand to say that use to be me! ðŸ–🽠But I had to train my business that “We’re not doing this anymore” and I made some changes.
Now instead of using Sundays for planning for the week ahead, I use them to worship, spend time with my family and relax.
There were a few things I did to get to this place, but today I will share with you the one that made a HUGE IMPACT:
✅ Having what I call a “cool down” session after each of my workdays during the week, and use my last day of the week (which for me is on Thursdays) to plan for the week ahead.
Cool-down sessions are exactly what it sounds like. Just like when you’re working out, you warm up, do your workout, and then cool down. My cool-down sessions can last about 30 minutes where I just spend time closing out my day, making notes, and planning.
Then by the time the weekend gets here, I don’t have to worry about planning on a Sunday. I get to hang out with my favorite people instead. 💞
If you build your business to include needing you 24/7 then that’s what it will always need from you.
Train up a child in the way it should go, can also apply to training up your business in the way it needs to go too.
